“Salut, monoskieur!”

“Salut, monoskieur! Ça va?”

“Très bien! Et vous?”

“J’adore le monoski!”

The conversation began in the queue to exchange my lift pass bonus for another day of skiing with the same monoskiing lift attendant from TK Baron. We chatted some more about how I’d bought it, and how it was so difficult to get hold of. Then he gave me a card and said that I should sign up to Association Française de Monoski. He’s called Pierre; Pel on their forums.

“Enchanté!”

There’s something I really like about the sound and tone of the word enchanté, but I fear using it in English company would smack of pretension.
